December 12, 201312 yr Hi, when I add scenery in the scenery library, it gives me the option to cache the scenery or use it direct. It also has a tick box at the bottom to cache the scenery? What effect do either of these choices have on the running of p3dv2. Thanks.
December 13, 201312 yr That option is left over from FSX (and earlier). It was designed for sceneries on optical drives and network drives, where caching to a local hard drive would improve performance.
December 13, 201312 yr So if using strictly/solely on a local drive it make no difference? Is that the consensus? December 13, 201312 yr The only time it makes a difference is if the drive containing the scenery is much slower than the cache drive.
