An idea/request...

Hi Brian - I've seen some guys asking if FS 2Crew can be programmed so the FO will retract the flaps on the speed tape schedule, and I read your response that it may be possible depending on the SDK.

If it's possible and you think it makes sense could you add the ability for the FO to set the landing speed based on the captain's command?  eg. Set speed at Vref, or Set speed at Vref + 5

The reason i'm asking for this is that it gets busy after the glide slope intercept, trying to track the glide slope, manage thrust, pitch, and roll, and then pretty soon it's time to slow down to Vref, when manually flying i hate to take that split second to confirm what my Vref speed is.

Can't wait for this release!!!!!!!

Hi Richard,

You mean have the FO/PNF operate the flaps automatically without the PF commanding him?

Won't do that as it's not realistic.

Landing speed, such as "Set VREF plus 5":  Depends on the SDK, which still has yet to make an appearance.

Hi Richard,

Best,

No, that wouldn't be realistic at all. Like I said though, along with everyone else, really looking forward to the release. As some one else pointed out though, having to fly single pilot right now is advantageous in that it forces one to understand the whole aircraft and not just the PF flows.

Depends on the SDK, which still has yet to make an appearance.

Best,

Just judging by prior experience, about how long do you expect production to take after you get the SDK? I know it's really hard to tell, but are you thinking days, weeks, months, etc...?

Anyway, can't wait to get a copy when it comes out!

Maybe a couple months.

We developed the scripts a long time ago using our real-world 777 Captain, so now it's just a matter of coding the plan.

But we can't do anything until the SDK is out.

Best,
