REX Direct HD textures better than AS2012?

Has anyone purchased the new textures of REX Direct HD?

I have AS2012 and up to now I have used those textures, are the REX Direct HD textures any better? I mainly need cloud and runway textures and don't have a high end system.

I have seen those screenshots related to terrain bumpmap textures in REX Direct HD, that look like custom terrain in addon sceneries. Do they replace default FSX textures or are they only for ORBX sceneries?

Would be interesting to know:  What does "DX10 compliant" mean regarding Steve's fixer.

Is performance better with SGSS in these clouds or does it only affect the lighting of clouds?
