December 29, 201312 yr Ladies/Gents. After flicking through the forums, it doesn't look like there are any recent (within the past 3 months) discussions on new SSDs or best recommended one to get. About just under a year ago I settled on a Samsung 840 Pro and loved it very much. Now with my 3rd sim on its way to be installed, I would like to add another SSD to the mix. The 3rd sim is XPlane. So has anyone got any suggestions on best SSD to run that? 260G being minimum size, I would like at least that. Other than that, read/write speed is important as well as quality and reliability. If anyone can recommend something, I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance. Brendan Brendan Chen Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

So Samsung 840 still has the lead ey? Brendan Chen Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

Will I need a whole SSD for XP10? I can see the need for FSX, and I find it being OK with a 250G (it's a squeeze though), but will XP10 need more? Brendan Chen Learning to use and getting use to FSX!
December 29, 201312 yr I picked up a 250GB 840 EVO the other day. I got it just for FSX, unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test it out yet as I am waiting on W7 to arrive. It has taken the market like a storm, its apparently one of the best SSD's on the market next to the Pro.
December 29, 201312 yr I started with a 250 2 years ago then got a spare 500gb, now have an extra 1TB so have 3 SSD's all up and I use them all, scenery etc etc. plus x-plane. The evo is great easy to setup and works fast very happy with it. http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Wayne HART
