Taxi2Gate KMCO Floating Bridges

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right place, but i just recently acquired  Taxi 2 Gate's KMCO, which is amazing. Hats off to them with all the details, but im having a problem with the bridges, they all seem to be too high. Any suggestions on how to fix it? its not just on the one side, its on all the bridges. Thanks in advance.

Is your Mesh Complexity set to 100 and your Mesh Resolution set to 5M? I believe those are the recommended minimum settings to make the bridges display correctly and is what I have mine set to and the bridges display correctly.

Hard to say then. The only other thing I can think of are:

1. You have another ACFAD in play somewhere in FSX that is causing problems. If you're running MyTrafffic check to make sure the KMCO ACFAD it installs is either disabled or removed. Or, check to make sure you didn't install some freeware ADE file from Ray Smith or any other author.

Or

2. Check your scenery library and make sure the KMCO entry is above the KMCO-Terrain entry. If they are in the wrong scenery priority order with the Terrain entry being on top of the KMCO entry it could cause a problem.

If either of these two things dont fix it then the last ditch effort I would suggest is to rebuild your scenery cache making sure my first suggestion about the mesh complexity and resolution is set properly and then points 1 and 2. If that still doesn't fix it then you may need to visit the T2G support over at the iFlysimx forum.

One other thing, what else are you running? Do you use GEX, FTXG, UTX, FTX Vector? I use GEX and UTX and have not had to make any adjustments to those programs to make it work properly, but I can't say that FXTG or Vector might have some type of a flatten or other adjustment in play for that area that is preventing it from displaying correctly.

Thanks! the second point fixed the issue, i had no idea that scenery priority mattered. and the only thing i use like that was the FTX global freeware, which i actually disabled because it was giving me some performance issues.

Glad number 2 got it for you!!

On a side note in case you have strange issues with addon airports in the future, scenery layering priorities do make a difference. Usually you want to have any custom mesh, photoreal or things of that nature on the bottom and then the airports contents sitting on top of that. Think of the mesh, flattens, exclusions, and photoreal stuff as the table cloth and then you place the dishes on top of the table cloth, the dishes being the airports contents (hangars, buildings, custom ground polys, etc).

Now that your table has been set you can eat, lol.

Happy New Year and enjoy your flights!!!
