January 4, 201412 yr ...but just like many their new paint has grown on me. Let's see in a few more months. I am rather conservative in tastes but I am already getting used to the new livery. I used to like the old one but now...it looks just old. That's what's great with designers. A lot of people (including me) don't necessarily like - or love - at first sight what they produce but after a while... Good points on brands and brand loyalty in this thread. Bruno
January 4, 201412 yr I understand why they had to start painting the Fuselages because of new aircraft like the 787 that use composites and don't have a problem with that. I would have prefered to see a flag in the tail similar to British Airways or Delta Airlines old tail....Something red white and blue flowing in the wind. Red and White Stripes with blue somewhere and a white star with a look of it flowing in the wind would have been cool. This to me represents the Stars and Stripes much better then the 'Barbers Pole' they came up with. The old eagle should not have been messed with either. That is an icon from over the decades. Anyhow, damage is done so yes time to move on. I am about to book flights to visit family in Chicago and Toronto so not sure who I am flying with, price will most likely be the deciding factor and not livery. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
January 5, 201412 yr That tail looks horrible, it's like a giant neon sign: "THIS IS THE PART THAT WILL BREAK OFF." AA is mostly US Scare anyways, I'll never fly 'em again. Brand matters here because I don't care how cheap their fares may go, I'll go JetBlue or Ryan Air or Southwest over them any day, For a Few Dollars More.
