January 5, 201412 yr Of all the forums that I visit regularly this one has by far the worst performance. It seems that settings are constantly being fiddled with, features come and go on an almost daily basis. Maybe it is time to look at a subscription service which may enable the hardware and software to be upgraded to better handle the loads. Or maybe as most simmers learn to do, pull the sliders to the left a bit and get rid of a features that offer little in the way of enhancing the board, ie the popularity voting on posts. Possibly trim the forums back a bit as there are way to many sub forums with posts constantly being moved around. some sub forums are hardly used at all. I would be more than happy if a subscription was put in place if it got this site back to the performance we enjoyed in the past, it seemed to be better in the old days before the site was hacked and the new hardware was bought.
