blurries with airliners (no texture loading)

Featured Replies

hi there,

when flying with GA aircraft P3D 2.0 works very well.

Yesterday I installed the Airbus X Extended as well as the QWings Avro into P3D 2.0.

As soon as I fly with those big planes the ground textures (FTX Global/Vector) don´t load and I get massive blurries, the autogen and scenery objects load way too late and to slow.

My settings are set moderate. water and scenery complexity are set to max, as well as the sliders to set mesh resolution, etc.

Autogen set normal.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Do the heay planes need too much performance, e.g. on RAM so that the texture won´t load?

CPU and GPU are not on 100% load, so there should be performance left for the textue.

cheers

Daniel

P3Dv2 definitely has a bug when loading textures. I get those blurries even with GA aircraft every now and then. And my system is definitely powerful enough to load the textures (and my settings are not over the top). There must a bug in the code. Some people already mentioned this on the LM forum, but I'm not sure if the devs really understand that there must be a bug somewhere... Some say that the AffinityMask tweak helps a bit. On my system the AffinityMask tweak helps but increases the microstutters...

Asking the same question twice doesn't help anybody.

Is the add-on you're using P3D v2 ready?

Have a look for the settings people are using and start with low settings. You can increase this step by step. Sometimes it's a long task to adjust everything balanced.

Good Luck

But telling everybody to lower their settings even when they are not even close to maxed out and people still get blurries doesn't help anybody either...

I've found running with frames set at unlimited helped greatly to reduce/eliminate the blurries (which is the opposite of what I was expecting).
