It's nearly six months now since the last discussions and infos. Are there any news on the Rex weather engine? Rev status/release schedule?

Folks, I ordered the Samsung S29E790C monitor. 34" would have been nice to have, but decided to save some money. From what I read this monitor will display have dark black colours, good contrast, lively colours, etc. will see. Samsung because Garrett could tell a bit from his one, and I've got a smaller 24" monitor here, that displays great colours, etc., that's why I decided to switch from LG to Samsung. I'll post some pictures when the monitor is installed

Thx for the quick reply. Seems as if Your Samsung monitor has the same dimensions as my suggested LG, right? Can you tell me more about the colours and contrast? I really like displays that display black as black, so that the night in the flightsim becomes dark.

Hi, I'm planning to buy a new monitor and this should be a 21:9 ratio curved ultra wide. Are there any experiences on the LG29UC96 2560x1080p? This would be a monitor that's not too expensive, like 34" etc. So, if there is anybody out there who could tell me anything about it would be great, especially resolution, colour, contrast. I am running P3D with a GTX 970. Daniel

Hi Mario, yes I did, unlimited frames, fresh cfg (no affinity masl, etc) - no luck :-(

I did a fresh install for 2.1 and I´ve got stutters, blurries,and very bad fps which jump around. I tried everything that came in my mind but 2.1 stays unflyable :-( Posted in the LM forum, but I can´t imagine how any help could look like. Don´t know what to do, switch back to 2.0? ... no idea...

Installed the FSX simconnect and the FIP´s are working correctly now :-) Great hint, thanks! The only thing now is, that the display are lagging a bit, are there any experiences on that?

You mean that I have to install the simconnect file from the fsx sdk (fsx DVD)?

Hi, I installed P3D 2.1 on a fresh system. After all I added my 6 FIPs. Problem: they don't work. Double clocking the exe in the program files(x86)\directoutput folder brings up an error message that the "side by side configuration" does not work. What does it mean? I really don't know. Next thing is, that there is a exe.xml in the roaming folder, but the FIPs do not connect to the sim. I manually added the exe file, but it doesn't work. What else can I say? FSUIPC latest version installed. EZDOK works perfectly, it is started by the Exe.xml. With Former P3D 2.0 the FIPs worked perfectly. Don't know what exactly was te difference :-( I use Track it 5, to make it I run had to install sim connect from within the folder in the p3d 2.1 Installation. How do I get the FIPs to work? I'm sure they must work. Thanks so much in advance!

It´s not just holding the ORBX products, but also the Active Sky and FSGRW updates to 2.1 and all other developers and their products I think,

hi there, I´ve got a new strange behaviour for days. While standing on the ground, no matter where and which airplane, frames start at (let´s say) 50FPS. Then they start do decrease second per second until 13-19. No real weahter inhjected, blue sky, nothing special. anybody any idea? setting are fairly moderate, changing the sliders does not solve the problem. what could be the problem? maybe the SSD (which is about 1 year old)? Oh, I´m just remembering that I´ve inserted AffinityMask=14 (quad i5), maybe I should diable it and try again?! (not other tweak in the cfg!) I´ve never had such a behaviour before... thanks for any hint :-)

hi there, when flying with GA aircraft P3D 2.0 works very well. Yesterday I installed the Airbus X Extended as well as the QWings Avro into P3D 2.0. As soon as I fly with those big planes the ground textures (FTX Global/Vector) don´t load and I get massive blurries, the autogen and scenery objects load way too late and to slow. My settings are set moderate. water and scenery complexity are set to max, as well as the sliders to set mesh resolution, etc. Autogen set normal. Anyone experiencing the same? Do the heay planes need too much performance, e.g. on RAM so that the texture won´t load? CPU and GPU are not on 100% load, so there should be performance left for the textue. cheers Daniel

Card is seated correctly. Freeze means there is no mouse cursor, ctrl alt del doesn´t work, have to hard reset via the power button. Only P3D is installed. I just checked my bios, and found something like iGPU and the primary forced graphic adapter, i disabled the iGPU support and set the primay adapter to PCIE, where the GTX is located.

This is really weird, maybe it´s just a "how to set the slider" thing... will try that out. Jim recommended the docs... so I checked whether all Visual CC´s and MS frameworks are installed. The guide says, you have to install MS framework from V1.1 to the latest, but I´m not able to install all of them. Don´t really know if that is necessary...
