January 9, 201412 yr Hey guys, I have been experimenting with many settings in Nvidia Inspector and still can't get the shimmering to stop. I am using an EVGA 780 GTX and Nvidia Inspector set to 4X AA, and AF to 12X for now. Using a triple head to go to 3 projectors at 1280X1024. Open to suggestions or new settings to try to reduce the shimmering effect. January 10, 201412 yr Check the setting of mip mapping. It often creates shimmering with nvidia cards if set too high. Try a setting of 4. That should bring the shimmering down to an "acceptable" level. Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA

January 10, 201412 yr you'll find them in your hardware settings in the sim. Believe that was an FS2004 thing.
January 10, 201412 yr Speaking of mip maps, there is a program out there called Alpha Searcher which will search your FSX folder and find any textures with missing mipmaps or alpha channels (transparency). Jeff Thomson
January 14, 201412 yr Hi Angelo, I think your 4X AA setting might be why you're seeing shimmers. I've noticed it at 4X too. Try these settings and see if it helps. With your card, you should probably be able to go to the 8xS setting, but start with these and see how it goes.
