January 4, 200521 yr Just would be interested to know what others think of this aircraft? There hasn't been an official review yet so is it worth the $34.95 price and how does it perform especially in the virtual cockpit view? Its a big 115MB download so is it frame rate friendly?
January 4, 200521 yr Hi,I have both CS727 and DF727 and the latter wins hands down.Although CS727 is regarding panel graphics good (both 2D/3D), but DF727 included alsp a much better flight model.In 2D it performs very good (P4-2.8 / 9800 Pro), but I can't tell how frates are in VC since I don't use VC's.IMO it certainly is worth the $35, every penny.Egbert Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
January 4, 200521 yr There is NO comparison -- the GA727 by Dreamfleet is up to date, uses the latest in tech to get the most out of the sim and is an accurate example of the 727.The Dreamfleet is the ONLY way to fly if you are thinking payware.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. January 4, 200521 yr Do it! I have the cs 727 and I got really good value for my dollar. It was one of my favorite aircraft. But its 2 years old now. The dreamfleet 727 is out of this world. It's fantastic, money well spent if you do, and you should. Go for it. billgEDIT: and listen to Clayton. He's flown 727's, into some pretty weird places I hear. And under pretty weird circumstances too, but that's a story you'll have to have him tell you.
January 4, 200521 yr First payware heavy jet that I have ever purchased. Own a small of number of GA payware but nothing that I own compares to the detail of the DF727.Every major system of the Boeing 727 is addressed within this aircraft so beware that the documentation that comes with the aircraft is huge. Although the doumentation is layed out by subsystem, the aircraft operations manual flows together in a easy layout to follow. Also, I have found that the Dreamfleet Technical Staff is available most anytime day or night. The other night I had a question or the proper way to setup my fuel quantities, they responded to my question within 20 minutes. It was 2:30 AM thier time. The way that the 727 is modeled, the technical publications that come with the model, and the outstanding help that is available from their technical support, the software package is well worth their asking price.Tom
January 4, 200521 yr ClaytonI disagree with you: Is one of the best ways to fly. Lucky me that ready for Pushback wasn
January 5, 200521 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the nice comments guys :-)http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
January 5, 200521 yr Bill,OK, now you're telling all of my secrets LOL Thanks for the nice words. But you're right, some pretty strange airfields to say the least.Bestclayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Dopke (Clay)Major, USAF (retired)"Drac"
January 5, 200521 yr This is a very nice airplane. Instruments are readable, and it flies very nicely -- both important when there is no FMC to program! I have a lot of payware big iron and this compares favorably with my other favorite, Ready for Pushback 747. If you even think you might like this sort of thing, you ought to buy it. You won't be disappointed.
January 5, 200521 yr Clay wrote an outstanding rebuttal to a post on flightsim.com. I highlight it because it draws some pretty good comparasions and you'll note that he is more than qualified to have an opinion on this particular aircraft. Bill Moore
January 6, 200521 yr It handflies as well as the PMDG 737 - and much better than the CS three holer. Simply put, the DF plane goes where you point it - I think the intertia is way overmodeled in the CS plane. The CS plane is very difficult to line up. Both the DF and the PMDG planes feel the closest of anything on my hard drive to the way the 777 United sim felt in Denver. That plane was also a dream to fly by hand.
