January 14, 201412 yr Recently in the course of reinstalling Win7 and FSX on my new computer, I have lost my dowload RCv4 installer file. I don't have a backup CD (I know, I know ) . I have the Product ID and a recently renewed Registration Key. What do I do now? Thanks for your help, Joe Joe Brown
January 15, 201412 yr If you send your details to jd including original e mail and product id he should let you have a new install file. You need to allow a few days for this to happen. Norman Bowman
January 15, 201412 yr Send your e-mail to jd_xx_jdtllc.com (replace _xx_ with @) subject RCv4 Download Link including your original ordering e-mail address and user name. Backup the downloaded file to CD/DVD. For a new Win 7 installation you will need to install some .dlls and maybe an .ocx file. See the pinned topic 713 and unregistered dll's. Look at the later responses for working links to them. For the install, right click on the install file and select Run as Admin. After the install set up a shortcut to RCv4.exe, right click on it, click properties, ignore the Run as Admin in this first screen, click Advanced, click to check Run as Admin here, click OK then click Apply back at the properties screen, then OK. Now update fsuipc and makerwys.exe as indicated in the pinned topic, and then rerun your scenery rebuild. You will need a new key since your product code has changed. If your e-mail and user name has not changed since your last registration the automatic registration service should work if you can generate the e-mail from your the registration dialog. See also the pinned topic on the e-mail format. If that doesn't work send the e-mail to jd at the given address subject RCv4 registration with a screenshot attached of the registration screen.
