Crash upon exiting P3d v2 - .dll issue

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

First crash in many many weeks.  Attached are two shots showing what I get when I exit.

The only change I've made is to add the Aerosoft Twin-Otter Extended, which supposedly is P3D ready???

Your help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

I'm getting exactly the same error when I just exit the simulator instead of ending the flight with the Airbus X Extended, also from Aerosoft-

I'm keeping P3D V2 fairly basic. FTX Global + Vector. I only fly the Airbus X Extended from Aerosoft which has some serious growing pains with P3D.

Personally I think it's the Bus that is messing with the simulator....

It's a required update to download the revised asc.dll file here

The more I use P3D V2. the more I come the conclusion that it's to be used without a lot of addons, untill the various developers have adjusted / revised their products.

P3D V2 is great on it's own, but as soon as you start piling on the add-ons the problems emerge. Within a year or so it's going to be awesome.

Hi Folks,

THANK YOU for your input to my problem.....seems like I'm not the only one, which is a "good" thing, but "bad" for anyone experiencing the same issue.

I "will" d/l the .dll file and apply -

IF that doesn't fix it, then I'll un-check the mip map and mute on lost focus for a try.

"Me thinks" it must be with the Twin-Otter extended since I had no issues prior to this.  I am using Orbx Global and Vector, Ezdoc, and the latest FSUIPC for P3d, and with those,

absolutely no issues.

Will give these a try and report back.

Thanks again and have a blessed day.

Hello fellows,

Wanted to update you.  The "asc.dll" download appears to have fixed my issue.  Did a flight last night after replacing the .dll, and I exited 3D with no problems and no problem screens.  Going to try several times again and see that it holds.

THANKS so much for the tips and if it happens again, I will try the un-checking mip-map and mute on lost focus.

Have a blessed one.
