January 19, 201412 yr Hello avsim community, PMDG would not respond to my ticket, in which I'm sure they have plenty of people messaging them daily and I'm completely fine with that, atleast they give us another place to resort to. Anways, I'm having issues with routefinder and my 777 FMC, none of the SIDs match... For example one sid is rik3r or something like that, right? Well if you go to routefinder in my case, and look at the SIDs the first one is "PALEO". That is not in the FMC; I'm getting pretty frustrated here as I really wanna do a long distance flight with proper autopilot navigation. Thanks! ~Slappilet Ryan Smith
January 19, 201412 yr You posted that like 8 times. Please, when the system is slow, hit the post button once and be patient. If you get a 503 error, don't worry. Back up and refresh the forum and I can fairly well assure you that the post you made is there. No need to post multiple times.
January 19, 201412 yr Hi, This has nothing to do with the 777 FMC, the routefinder website just creates a route between 2 airports, most of the time, the first waypoint of this specific route happens to be available as a SID. In some routes, this is not the case. So the first waypoint in your flightplan does not exist as a SID in your FMC database. Between which 2 airports are you planning to fly? I can create a route with PFPX for you. Greetings, Mike Henke
January 19, 201412 yr Author I'm sorry I'm gonna delete all of them except this one.... It keeps giving me a error so I think it doesnt post when it really does Ryan Smith
January 20, 201412 yr Commercial Member That is not in the FMC; I'm getting pretty frustrated here as I really wanna do a long distance flight with proper autopilot navigation. So to the guys who've asserted it's a navdata issue, it shouldn't be. PALEO has been around for at least a decade, so it's not new, or didn't just disappear recently. It's always a good thought, but definitely not the case here unless a navdata update corrupted, and then nothing would show up. My bet is this: If it's the PALEO I'm thinking of, you're trying to depart Dulles or BWI (or DCA...but with a 777??? Really???) If it's Dulles, the Capital 8 SID is the only SID with PALEO on it, but it won't show up in the "transitions" list because it's a vectored SID. You just add it onto the ROUTE page manually, and then select the CAP8, and the appropriate runway. If you're departing BWI, you'll be looking for the PALEO3 SID, and that SID has PALEO in the middle of the SID. If you need the SID to end at PALEO, just don't select one of the transitions. Those are just a few thoughts of mine based on what you've said so far. If you could post the route you were trying to fly, the airport pair, and any other information, that would really help. January 20, 201412 yr Hi, SlapPilet, I suggest you try Flightaware.com. It has many, many real world flight plans and many if not most have SIDs and STARs. CYYZ-EGLL, KATL-KLAX, CYYZ-CYVR, CYVR-YSSY, KLAX-YSSY, KATL-FAOR are sometimes or always flown by 777-200LRs and usually show with SIDs and STARs. Some of these are long haul, others are much shorter. If you don't have the most recent Airac, 1401, you might find some waypoints or routes missing or some SIDs and STARs missing or showing slightly differently on your FMC than on the actual flight plans. You can usually work around that, or update to the latest Airac at Navigraph or Aerosoft's Navdata Pro (both cost some money). Mike
