R6025 Pure Function Virtual Call

Featured Replies

After some initial tinkering, my P3D2 setup had been rock solid for one month: more than four weeks with no errors of any sort.

Then, in the last three or four days, it's nightmare with this "Pure Function Virtual Call" error.

I thought it was the AI traffic, because any settings over 25% would triggeer the error immediately, but even keeping my AI setting as low as it used to be doesn't help. I may add that some places like Athens (no addon scenery) have become unfliable: 16 fps with stutters, when I have 55 - 60 fps sitting on the runway at Half Moon Bay and around 48 fps flying around San Francisco Bay.

The funny thing is that I used to have about 40 fps in San Francisco and 30 in Athens with a previous setup, but now if I select THAT setup it's still 40 in San Francisco but 10 in Athens. There is something odd here!

The only addition was Orbx Australia  Sp4, but Australia is a bit distant from Athens, isn't it?

Can anybody help with this? I am getting crazy.

Thanks

Andrea

It's a C++ programming error.  Could be anything.  Here's further information - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125749.  You can try troubleshooting by disabling every addon in your Scenery Library, run P3DV2 and see if that fixes the problem.  If it does it means one of those programs did not install correctly.  You can also try debugging by disabling all of the modules in the dll.xml, run P3D and see if that fixes the problem.  If so, it's one of your modules.  Or, you can uninstall all of your addons and go back to the basic P3D and start reinstalling everything again.

Andrea,

I got the very same error - no clue about the reason. I do have very few addons  - a couple of aircraft and any scenery at all.

If you find a solution, please let us know.
