January 31, 201412 yr Author Thanks Graham, Im just the same as the other poster, it doesn't work for me and I cant understand why it so difficult to explain here is what I do 1.select shift box 2.press a button on my joystick. This works as it should, the command causes the numbers to change on the interface and now I have a new number 3 I select a switch eg, Auto brake INC 4. I save it 5. go to the sim, PRESS SHIFT AND THE BUTTON ON MY JOYSTICK as in step 2. 6. nothing happens I hope some one can point out to me what step Im doing wrong in the above cheers ZORAN
February 6, 201412 yr ok, I try it again to explain ^_^ 1) You choose one button on your joystick to act as shift button (or call it modifier), let's say this is button 16 Press it and LINDA will jump to this button (if you have the joysticks page open) 2) now click on "empty" and select "Local Shift" or "global shift" from the upcoming men 3) Now, Button 16 is our "shift" button (or modifier) 4) now click the checkbox on the upper right "shifted", LINDA will switch to a kind of "second layer", the shifted mode Now assign e.g. "gear" (or whatever) to button 1 (I hope you understand that it doesn't make sense to assign anything now to button 16) Save. 5) Now, if you have assigned under 2) local shift: if you press and hold (!) button 16 AND button 1 you' execute "gear" if you have assigned under 2) "global shift": if you press (and release) button 16, you switch to the shifted mode, now button 1 executes "gear". you have to press button 16 again to come back to the unshifted mode! Hope that helps ....
