  1. At the risk of becoming too repetitive, I look forward to the progress in UT2, which appears to be once again in development. I would be willing to pay a premium for a product that is easier on resources (my experience) and more configurable; provided it had updated scedules, accurate paints, flew over water and had a 787 I wonder if there are so few folks in this business cause maybe it ain't too easy balancing performance and realism; not to mention schedule maintenance. Perhaps this and the fact that unlike creating user aircraft and scenery; it is relatively easy to go to flyingcarpet and AIG and create an airline. Ergo, competition from potential customers. I for one don't relish the prospect of recreating the world's AI traffic. I do salute those that do so.
  2. You are right Dave. But what about websites like flyingcarpet75? They are great folks...yes, but they have just about every model and paint ever created available for download. What about Alpha India? They have schedules for every major airline and they give you links to download the models and paints. What if someone came along and said "here is a package of schedules, models and paints that will fill your airports and skies". And then what if they went on to acknowledge each schedule, model and paint creator? Essentially they would just be doing the work. If that is not OK, then basically we're saying "hey, use it all you like. But if someone else does the work (and gives it to you for free), they and I, are pirates". I've never been to one of the sites. If they sold advertising on their site and didn't get approval from the content creators, then I could see the conflict. By the way, I'm not challenging you. It is what it is. Whay don't the model, schedule and paint guys just charge a royalty for their product and let someone create a decent AI addon. Now I may have answered my own question (UT2). By the way, speaking of UT2, it appears it is once again being developed (from their forum). This would render my post moot as I would then have my first choice in AI up to date and I could completely disregard the model and paint wars. Cheers from a fellow Canuk.
  3. Jim, Here you go: http://ultimatetraffic.flight1.net/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=14389&title=2016-schedule-data-now-released
  4. Hi Jim I sent a PM to the administrator at the Ultimate Traffic forum asking him if he would post here or allow himself to be quoted. When I hear back, I'll post the info.
  5. I visited the Ultimate Traffic forum recently and read that the program was once again under development. I hope it is as UT2 is IMO, the best. I am not trolling or creating rumours; nor am I being critical of its competitors. The post came from one of the forum administrators. Cheers
  6. I have the Dell. There is backlight bleed in corners. when screen is black (how often is that in real life Apart from that, I am quite satisfied with the monitor. Moved up from a 32 inch 1080p TV and the difference is remarkable. I am biased though.
  7. I use UT2 and ProATC/X. I will look at Pilot2ATC in the future.
  8. Mark, How is the SimObjects.cfg module? That was my concern with the freeware. Couldn't deactivate certain folders.
  9. If you take the time to look at all its capabilities, you may see things differently. However, if you always use the same settings:scenery, etc for all your flights, you may not need it.
  10. Michael, Did you delete the Prepar3D folder in My Documents before installing 3.2? I had an issue similar to yours. Prepar3D didn't like the default flight, and would not load.
  11. If you don't want to see the 10 update, hide it. Unlike Windows 10 Home, updates cannot be forced on Vista, 7 or 10 Pro. Can we move on from the general Microsoft bashing? If MS was as sinister as is sometimes suggested, they would have gone the way of the Edsel long ago.
  12. I agree that Virtual CDU is the best option for the CDU. Only issue is you must pay for each aircraft. That may not be a deal breaker, but something to consider.
  13. Thanks Michael. I'll give that a try.
  14. Michael, How is your scenery layered? If you use UTX roads and Open LC, is LC above UTX? Also, if you are only using UTX roads, is all the other vector data default? Just curious. I have UTX and open LC. Want to get the best mix. Thanks

The installer checks to see if the version already exists. If it does, it aborts the installation. It appears you already have the correct Simconnect version installed. I would still go through the suggestions here, if only to confirm. Then if you go to EZDok forum, you can list all troubleshooting, which would make assistance quicker and easier.

I second Elaine's check for run as administrator. This assumes you run P3D as administrator. Go to your P3D root folder and go to the redist\Interface folder. Install every version other than the 2 foreign language versions. There is no harm in installing multiple verions. They are installed side by side. One of the versions will work for EZDok. Then try running EZdok automatically and/or manually. You may also wish to reinstall with antivirus off. Perhaps your install is corrupted. If that doesn't solve your issue, it will require a better mind than mine. You may want to check out the EZDok forum at: http://www.simforums.com/forums/ezdok-software_forum39.html
  17. This will cost money. However, when you are in the market for a new monitor, you may wish to consider a move to either 4k or a 21:9 3440 x 1440 widescreen (even 8k down the road ). The higher resolution reduces the need for AA. Jeroen is quite right. If you use Nvidia Inspector's Sparse Grid Supersampling (SGSAA) you will get superior AA. However, performance will tank in coudy/foggy conditions. You may also wish to check out DSR. It is explained here: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr Your video card is DSR capable and would almost certsinly run a 4k monitor/tv. Good luck!
  18. This would cost a bit of money. However, you may wish to hide behind a router. Passes Shields Up test 100%. Is an external hardware solution and consumes no internal resources. Great for networking and allows assigning static IP addresses which makes running remote software easier, etc. Doesn't block outgoing. However, an anti malware scan should find whatever is illegitimately calling home. As far as malware goes, I just exempt the folders that contain sim programs and data for resident scanning, and do regular manual scans to check the integrity of those folders. If you dont need massive WiFi speeds, routers can be had for moderate cost.
  19. No problem. Your results may vary, but I couldn't get the wheel to work with the driver installed. If you haven't reinstalled the driver: -try plugging in the trim wheel -spin it until you get the disconnect/reconnect sound in Windows -type joy.cpl into the run box -double click on the trim wheel and test it Perhaps I've misread your reply. If so, please ignore this post. Best of luck.
  20. Regarding your trim wheel, do you have the Saitek driver installed? If so, try uninstalling the driver. The trim wheel will still work.
  21. I had the same issue. I had changed my default flight. P3D would initialize, then disappear; but stay active. I reverted back to the original default flight (military jet at air force base) and all was well. If Jim's excellent suggestion doesn't nail it down, you may wish to check it out.
  22. I dig that. Who would blame you?
  23. As developer of the your excellent mesh, could you give us an idea, in general terms, what you would be facing; porting the product to 64 bit?
