That's not only my recommendation, quted from my above post, but actually the recommendation you'll find at simmarket.com.

The one advantage (but that's actually the only one) of MTX 2013 is that you can read the manual before installation (if you buy the boxed version), which may help aviod the installaiton difficulties. However, if you read the advice given by the installer carefully instead of simply clicking "proceed" (and of course follow it B)), you should not run into problems with it anyway.

I'm not completely sure about the 748 and 787, but both should actually be contained in MTX.

Just to clarify we're talking about the same add-on, is it this one from Sim Market:

MyTRAFFIC X PROFESSIONAL 5.4C FOR FSX

“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” ― Leonardo da Vinci

I just installed MyTrafficX pro about a week ago and it was pretty simple. There are 3 steps. You install it. Then the program is launched and you modify the fsx.cfg file within it - it's just clicking two buttons. The last step is add it to your scenery inside FSX, which is no different than adding a freeware airport that you may have downloaded.

So far, I like it, but I'm still checking it out more. I did have a few CTDs suddenly showing up with the default schedule (5.4c , 2013 schedule). After reading some suggestions in forum threads, I tried switching to the 2012 schedule (very easy to do). That seemed to clear up, but I'm still testing it. I've been using the Feelthere E-jets v2 and will try CS planes and the QW 757 too. I figure those should stress it enough...

As far as how it looks, I think it looks good enough for AI. Also, my setting is only at 35, but there are plenty of planes at airports and the frames seem a little better than WOAI (which is still a great program, IMO).

Yep, it is that simple, but the last step is the one many people don't do, for whatever reason, and then they complain about "no traffic in MTX" or similar things.

That was also my intention with my post above (obviously it created more confusion than it actuall helped) - 5.4c is the most comprehensive version, and it's not much more expensive than MTX 2013 (which basically has less features, and is published/sold by Aerosoft rather than the author himself).

They actually got a nice comparison chart of the available MTX versions over at simmarket, so you can decide yourself. But yes, it was MTX 5.4 I meant before, I woudn't recommend to get any other version!

Are you looking to simply populate the skies with some traffic?  Does it make much difference if a given airline operates the correct number of certain a/c types and utilizes them on the correct routes? How important is it that your traffic looks realistic?

You have pretty nice system, so with that I'd recommend WoAI. Many of the models are for FS9 but most of the newer packages incorporate FSX ones as well. The models and repaints are far superior in visual quality over MTX and the plans are of very high quality replicating their at the time of release real world airline to a very close margin. It's free and easy to install or remove if you don't like what you see.

It comes down to what you really want. Mediocre looking models and paints with not terribly realistic schedules but in an easy all in one package, then look at MTX. UT2 has the nicer models and repaints, plus the traffic fly airways and routes. It does have it's downsides in that certain larger (Mostly European) airlines are missing but you have the ability to add anything and that some repaints you will need to add yourself for full effect. WoAI will use some FS9 models which you may or may not have any problem with. I've got MANY FS9 AI models in my FSX setup and I'd far prefer to use them over what's included in MTX.

There are AI FSX B788 and B748's available to add to your WoAI or UT2 setup, not sure about MTX.
