February 22, 201412 yr Chasing after Aerocaches at night is not for the faint of heart! On the runway at Hanamaulu - I'll keep the landing lights on for the duration of the flight. Climbing out with the Wailua Valley all lit up behind me. Once I get into the Waimea Canyon, the darkness is complete! After a lot of near-crashes, I finally spot the Aerocache, perilously close to the trees. Barking Sands is my destination - can't wait to get down. I have never been so happy to end a flight. Night flying in canyons is not for me. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!

February 22, 201412 yr I have done some very dark night jobs and arrived at very short unlit airstrips surrounded by tall trees, great fun getting down in one piece. Steve
