What Northern California Airports work with Orbx NCA

Arrivals to Rwys 30 L/R do come in right over downtown, which limits the heights of the buildings. In FSX, the default locations of these buildings are too close to the airport. Orbx's NCA moves the buildings to a more accurate location of downtown, though the buildings aren't modeled on any real buildings.

Cool.

If you have any addon airport scenery you need to remove the Orbx custom airport scenery files. There are 2 of them. both bgl files. One called the airport with the icao code and the other adds _CVX

Yes I do this a lot as I add "better" airports to sceneries.  One little housekeeping trick is to start a "Removed Adexes" folder in each scenery folder you mess with.  That way should your "improvement" not work out so well, you have the original ADEX to go back to.

As a native San Josean, ORBX placement of downtown is fairly accurate...however as you mention there are some out of place buildings such as at threshold of 30L-eeek.

After deleting the  .bgl file as suggested above: (ADEX_FTX_NCA_KSJC_Mineta_San_Jose_Intl.BGL)

In the same Iocation I also scrolled down and simply renamed the following file:

FTX_NCA_objects_KSJC_PLC.bgl

to

FTX_NCA_objects_KSJC_PLC.off

TADA! Problem solved.

***IMPORTANT: Scrolling further down you will see a file:

FTX_NCA_objects_San_Jose.bgl (DO NOT TOUCH THIS ONE)
