March 1, 201412 yr I've been trying to get some (mild) flood lighting on the overhead panel during night frights and haven't figured it out yet. I suspect that the OVHD / CB knobs are perhaps the answer, but they won't do anything for me. Should they light up something when twisted ? Is any flood lighting provided for the overhead panels ? If yes, how is it applied (and don't say flashlight ~ Best to all, Ken Ken Boardman

March 1, 201412 yr Author I am aware of the Dome knob Rob, and I've used it at times. However; I am interested in finding out if there is independent control of the overhead panels just like there is for the Instrument panel and Glareshield panel. The Dome knob lights up just about everything (all at once ~ What do the OVHD / CB knobs located at the lower LH corner of the Lower Overhead Panel do for us? Regards, Ken Ken Boardman
March 1, 201412 yr That one lights up aft overhead and circuit breaker panel. There is no dedicated floodlight for the overhead panel. --Peter Fabian
March 1, 201412 yr Correct. To be more clear...with the OVHD/CB rotary switch, you can dim or brighten the lights that are installed behind those panels. So as said, there is no flood lighting for the Overhead panel. You can only regulate the backlighting. Now, to be able to actually independantly regulate the Overhead panel brightness, you first have to turn Master Brightness - OFF! As long as Master Brightness is On, it will override individual brighness control. Rob Robson
