March 1, 201412 yr I have been to the U.S.S intrepid twice in the last four years and I just visited the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC on the 28th of January this year I must admit I enjoyed most immesely. The one thing that bothers me tho is some to the aircraft on display look like mock up replicas. I'm sure most of them are replicas but I wish they were more upfront about which ones are the real deal. Nice small museum at Kennedy Space Centre that I enjoyed but that probably not included in this thread. March 1, 201412 yr In the UK, Duxford ( the only SR-71 outside the USA ), the two RAF museums at Hendon and Cosford, Newark, Elvingdon, and a host of smaller ones. Oh and don't forget Old Warden near Biggleswade - it has the world's oldest airworthy aircraft ( a Bleriot XI, powered by the oldest airworthy engine - a 25hp Anzani ), the oldest airworthy British aircraft ( a Blackburn Type D ), and the aircraft thats been based at the same airfield continuously for the longest period of time ( De Havilland DH60X Moth G-EBWD, which has been there since 1932 ). Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
