I purchased a multi panelDEC 27 2013, now the select switch for alt,heading etc has frozen. anyone have this prob. and know how to fix it

I have recently run into the same problem. Would also like some advice on how to fix it.
 

Are you trying to use it for non standard aircraft?  Its only designed to operate with default FS aircraft. I have it and it will work with SOME addons, but NOT most;-(

I have the multipanel and the switch panel, I have had a few issues with the panels freezing while in FSX. I have downloaded the SPAD drivers and it seems to have helped the issue somewhat. Once in awhile the panels will freeze with everything still lit up, but the dials and switches stop responding, I can still operate everything on screen, just not as fun. I have a feel it might have something to do with the USB ports going to sleep or the power drain on the pc, I may need a USB hub with external power.  As far as the panels working with addons. I have 6 or 7 carenado add ons and the saitek panels are fully compatible with the add ons, all the switches work in real time on the screen with the panels, heading bug, gear, flaps, switchs etc.  I have not tried the panels with anything other than carendao to date though.  

My experience with the panels is NOT to use the USB hub in the yoke, but only via the motherboard.

 

I also have a light blown (Alt) in the Multi panel, but cant get the damn thing apart to fix it.  Can't get the silver rotary control off;-(

I suggest that you always use a separate USB hub with it's own power adapter. Also use SPAD! It provides support for using many addon aircraft. It's more than your typical driver.

As I stated, the selector switch was frozen. I have now fixed It. A small drop of lighter fluid down the shaft, works fine for now. Thanks for your responses.
