Aircrafts dancing in the sky

Featured Replies

Hello,

When parked at the gate, all other aircrafts that should be beside mine, are going up and down, like they are dancing in the sky. I use Ultimate Traffic II, i've uninstalled and reinstalled it. But problem still there.

Best regards

Are you using the default mesh or add-on mesh?

Default mesh Jim. By the way i had many CTD when flying over ORBX regions (except Global) and i've uninstalled all ORBX regions and just started reinstalling them now.

Many thanks

Best regards

I'm not sure but i think that this problem occured after installing the latest Majestic Q400 patch and only dash 8 aircrafts go up and down.

It may be that the ground contact points are a bit off.

If you are using default mesh, make sure your mesh resolution is set no higher then 38m. Which is the default setting. (If it's not already of course)

Thanks

Thanks for help. I'm a bit confused here, i have FTX Global and ORBX regions installed (with ORBX airports). Is it default mesh then or ORBX has its own mesh?

Regards

Mesh resolution is 5m.

If you don't have locked frame rate, try locking the frame rate to 30.

Then try set to 38m, (Lower value (5m)  is actually higher resolution) FSX default mesh is only 38m.

Agree but with ORBX products, 10 or 5 m is recommended.....

If you don't have locked frame rate, try locking the frame rate to 30.

Frame rate is already locked to 30.

It entails editing the aircraft.cfg file under contact points.

Curiously this problem is only with dash 8 aircrafts. (except my own aircraft which is correctly positionned on the apron).

Nobody can help me? :(

Did you try Jim's advice? The fact that it's only happening to Dash 8s seems a strong indicator that their contact points definition (in the respective aircraft.cfg) is a bit off.

Why their contact point definition become a bit off?.  And how do we adjust these contact points definition? Which values i should enter?

Many thanks and best regards
