Here is the results from looking at appcrashviewer there is a lot of livecomm.exe app hangs that may be causing the problem.

I see a couple of FSX.exe crashes too. The livecomm.exe program is connected to "mail". It's a problem evidently in Windows 8.1. You might want to try to get that resolved first as it could solely be the causes of your crashes/freezes.
