Fuel Burn- how to detyermine in P3Dv2.1.

Featured Replies

I would like to mock up some performance tables that would correlate Prop RPM / Manifold Pressure to True Airspeed and Fuel Burn, for specific altitudes.  The one variable I am having trouble with is Fuel Burn (gallons/hour).  Is there any variable I could invoke (.cfg file)  that would provide fuel burn to be displayed in the red text in P3D v2.1?

Thanks, Bruce.

I don't know for the .cfg but FSUIPC (paid version) have a logging facility for several parameters. Adress (offset) 0x08A0 for instance give you the fuel flow for engine 1. You can display it on the window title bar or on the screen (overlap the location of Shift Z).

Thanks Pierre,

I do have the registered version of FSUIPC, but have never used the offsets- so I must do some reading of the advanced user manual. The example you gave is exactly what I'm looking for... thanks. Bruce.

Fuel flow is also shown in the simulation variables in the FSX SDK.

I think you'd have to set up and install (into panel.cfg) a temporary gauge that displays "(A:ENG FUEL FLOW GPH:1)  (A:ENG FUEL FLOW GPH:2) +".
