  1. I have found this as well. It took me a while, but I discovered what makes it work. For some reason, making a change to the filename (I add and delete a blank) activates the "OK". This is clearly a bug, Frans
  2. I am just setting the FPS to 30 in P3d, and have done so for months without framerate problems; it seems to have started today. Frans
  3. I saw this happening this morning. I opened up an outside-locked view and my fps dropped from 30 to 5; closing this view brought the FPS back to 30. I've never had this happen before (P3d 3.3.5). Frans
  4. I have a similar effect on my FSX default A321 (now my favourite plane in P3Dv3.1 - it has my own panel): "concrete=fx_sparks". Whenever the aircraft moves on an apron, taxiway, or runway, it's as if the parking brakes are on; the tires smoke and spark. Hopefully I won't see this again. Frans
  5. Kelvin, this looks very nice indeed. Do you know if it's compatible with FTX Global and Vector? Frans
  6. Yes, the CRJ700 (listed as Bombardier_CRJ_700 in the SimObjects\Airplanes folder) is purely an AI aircraft. It does not have a panel folder. Frans
  7. C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 is the correct location. Frans
  8. It works for me (FSC 9.6 running with P3dv3.1 in Win10). Frans
  9. Yep, re-installing the 151213 library does the trick! Thank you, very much. Frans
  10. I do have the latest library. I'm sure though that it was installed prior to NA SCA's installation. Should I re-install the library? Frans
  11. I seem to have a massive problem with the SCA scenery. I have all of the west coast ORBX regions; until now, I had only flown in the PNW region, which was great. However, when I fly in and around LA, the coast is very bad. The coastline itself is OK, but a couple of hundred feet beyond the beach, land starts again for as far as I can see. There are even some buildings on this fake land. I don't yet know if this the cause, but I have FTX Central 2 set to Enable "hybrid mode". I found the inland portion of SCA to be very beautiful. I have the Terrain, Scenery Objects and Special Effects detail all set to max. But for some region, the Pacific Ocean is missing. Frans
  12. In Lockheed-Martin Prepar3D v3\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib, run SimConnect.msi I had the same problem, and this fixed it. You can find the instructions in the info dialog of the ASN installer. Frans
  13. I got my Thrustmaster Warthog about a week and a half ago. I assigned all of the axes and most buttons via p3dv3, and some via FSUIPC. Works great, although for my airliners, the aircraft wants to turn left during flight but not on the ground (turboprops are OK); I understand that p3dv3.1 will fix this. I am running Win10. I had to throw away my Saitek Pro Flight Cessna yoke, since the Saitek drivers (even the beta) interfered with Win10. I ran out of patience. Frans
  14. I've been using Acronis True Image (currently the 2016 version) for many years, backing up my complete system every week to an external USB3 drive (full every 6 weeks and incremental in between). The full backup takes 380GB. I have never had this issue. Frans
  15. I assume you are talking about the Saitek Pro Flight Cessna trim wheel? I don't have it, but I do have the Cessna yoke. If your OS is Windows 10, then we are both waiting for Mad Catz to come up with a Windows 10 driver for the Cessna products; bad things happen when I disconnect the yoke. They do have a beta driver for their non-Cessna stuff, but not yet for the Cessna stuff. Hopefully soon. Frans
  16. I followed the procedure, but my driver did not get updated (likely because the beta driver is not intended for the Cessna Yoke). I think that it is time to give up, for now. I have been surviving by disabling the driver after exiting P3Dv3, and re-enabling it when I start P3Dv3. Frans
  17. I am wondering if the beta driver has indeed been installed, but that it does not recognize my yoke, which is a Saitek Cessna Yoke. niyoko, do you have the regular or Cessna yoke? Frans
  18. I must be doing something wrong. I installed the beta driver just now and I still have driver version 7.0.7.9 (2011). Do I have to uninstall the old driver first? What version do you have, may I ask? EDIT: I uninstalled the 7.0.7.9 driver and downloaded and executed the beta driver (it is version 7.0.7.44), but I still have 7.0.7.9. I obviously need help! Frans
  19. On my system, Windows 10 never hung up on booting with the yoke plugged in. My problem occurs when I unplug the yoke; even after I have powered down the computer and then unplug the yoke, the first boot fails and the second boot succeeds. Frans
  20. Interestingly, no one has yet said that this beta driver actually works, even on the Facebook site. Edit: If this driver came out on 28 Sept, then this is probably the same driver I was given by Mad Catz last week. This was worse than before. Nevertheless, I will still try it out. Frans
  21. Even though I have the folders pointed to P3Dv3 and ...AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3, I still get an ASConnect Error: "... ASConnect is designed to be used with P3D version 2.5.12942 to 2.5.12945 and version 3.0.10.14926" I have the open beta B2751 update installed. AFAIK, this is the only P3Dv3 version of ASN that is available. Frans
  22. Thank you for this; I will try it out. Mad Catz did point me to a Windows 10 beta driver last week, which I tried out. However, this beta driver had the same problems as before. Hopefully, the driver one gets from the Win 10 beta window resolves this issue. Frans
  23. My solution to the problem is to disable the yoke when I'm finished flying. This avoids the bad side effects of disconnecting the yoke. Frans
  24. After uninstalling, I unplugged the yoke and plugged it back in. I automatically get the "Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Yoke (HID)" driver. When I click on "Update Software Driver", Windows tells me that my driver is up to date. I tried this several times. Frans
  25. Michael, it's great that you were able to get your Saitek Cessna stuff working properly. I, too, have a Saitek Cessna yoke (with the same problems you had). Following your guidance, I uninstalled the 2006 driver; it was replaced by a 2011 driver. However, the problem did not go away - it behaves exactly the same way! EDIT: Before this, I had tried a Mad Catz beta Win10 driver for the non-Cessna Yoke (provided by Mad Catz). Although the driver works well with the Cessna yoke, it also behaves the same way when unplugging the USB connector. Frans
