In a bit of a quandary;

I definitely want one of these packages, but I'm really unsure which one to go for. I know v1 offers the 170 and 190, while V2 offers the 175 and 195 plus the Call! And Map! Additions as well as some additional 2d panels and a 2d HUD. Apart from these, are there other major differences?

Is the v2 model and texturing better looking than the v1?

Are the sounds better?

How about the FDE and systems modelling?

The v2 actually works out cheaper for me, but my VA only use the 170/190 so that swings the pendulum again.

Any honest advice on either pack?

Cheers,

Tom

Both packages are the same with different models. I'd get both to have the complete set if I were you. The E-Jet series is one of Feelthere's better releases. I'll add to that in saying these planes are some of the best models you can get for Flight Simulator and the hands down best option for the E-Jet series.

If they are the same, I might as well get the v1. The only issues I had were reading that v2 has the TSS soundpack, and that it has bump maps, and refined flight dynamics. I really don't think I can justify laying out +£50 (+$80) on this addon so I only want one.

There is no issue with V2.  What you have is the whole series of this model completed like PMDG with the 737-600/700 in one package then the 800/900 in another package.  V1 has the 170, V2 has the 175.  There's no bugs in either package just a great add-on.

I think you have misunderstood me. I did not infer there is an 'issue' with the add on, I said the issue that 'I' had was that I've read that the v2 has a TSS soundset included, an improved flight model and the model texturing looks better as it has FSX bump maps etc. If the v1 also has these, then I'm going with that. If not, v2 is clearly better value.

V1 is an older release and does not have the refinements of V2. so V1 does not have FSX's bumpmaps (for example).

Thanks Scoob. What about the soundset? Is that the same? Also, is there any expected release date for the v2 paintkit?
