To do liveries for the NGX you need a serious paint software preferably Adobe's Photoshop.

Then Download from the PMDG website Downloads/Paint Kits the Paint Kit for the NGX 800/900 and/or 600/700. In the paint kit files you will find a .pdf document that will get you started.

I too wanted a custom paint scheme for my BBJ 737NGX. I looked into what it takes to do that and it's a fair amount of work and yes it looks like you have to be good at using Photoshop.

 

Seems to me that someone who is good at Photoshop and understands the paint kit, etc. could earn a little extra $$$ on the side creating liveries for those of us who have never done it and more importantly, don't have a license for Photoshop.

 

If anyone out there would consider doing this for a reasonable fee, PM me and I'll give you my very simple paint scheme: all white paint with just a name on the sides of the fuselage and a custom tail number. That's it  :lol:

That should be simple enough for any painter. I am at work right now and not sure if I can do it... but post in the livery thread, someone will possibly take it up. You will also be able to find some basic BBJ-like schemes in there, burried couple hundred pages back, IIRC Steve Stubbs made some. Maybe they will be able to modify the original files if you ask them.

All of these are free, we aren't allowed to charge for repaints, it's against the EULA
