TOPCAT in beta now for 777

Featured Replies

I haven't seen anything about this yet.  FYI you can now download the beta version that supports the 777.

Great!  Thanks for putting this up.

Seems to work OK, no idea if it's accurate yet.

So far I have noticed that the N1 ratings can be off by quite a bit in many cases, where the calculated N1 given by TOPCAT is quite a bit higher than what is shown in the sim.

The landing data, as talked about in the other thread, still needs some work for sure:

Contrast this with 28R:

I know it isn't as simple as just comparing the two, but it certainly seems to me that AUTO 2 or at least AUTO 3 should work for 28C, just looking at the landing distances for 28R. Even AUTO 1 doesn't seem totally out, but might be a little tight.

In any case it is still beta so hopefully it will improve.

Brian Doney

Yes plus remember pmdg said that there are some instances where the N1 is too high for some assumed temperature ranges. Should be corrected in sp1
