For those on the fence on FeelThere's ERJ package . . .

Featured Replies

Save your $$. I know many have been quite happy with the product, but for me it was quite a dissappointment in several areas. I currently use PMDG's 737, B1900D, Meridian & Eaglesoft products, with wonderful performance in all areas. For starters, even with the display sliders almost fully to the left, I find performance not worth the trade up in functionality the product offers. I find the sound package to be unpleasant, if not unrealistic. The image quality for 2D panel is fairly good. I'm not sure how the flight modeling compares to real world experience, but it feels very mushy and more like a larger aircraft in my experience. In the main 2D view, when changing views from side to side, there is a prominent delay in populating the glass cockpit gauges. I don't get this in PMDG's 737, and all in all, I have a very smooth, very fast setup. I clicked my CH Yoke's programmed landing lights switch, and for some reason in this bird, it won't stay on. Does in all other aircraft I have. BTW, I am using the latest release version of this ERJ. The VC is very poor, in both functionality, and readability IMO. Details, such as the logo, "ERJ", are very very low in resolution. A small point, but at nearly $40, I expect better than this. The whole package is, in a word, overpriced.I contacted FT to see if they might honor a refund, even a partial refund, as my reselling the product would constitute software piracy, in their words. They were adamant about not refunding even partially, my payment. So, even with a very upper end machine, you can expect OK, but not very good performance, a poor feeling flight model, very much mediocre image quality, an irritating sound package, and an absolutely unflexible support department as far as accomodating a refund request (they were happy to point out I agreed to no refund, which unfortunately I didn't read, but I guess might be the norm). I would love to sell it to you for half price, but alas, they noted to me they have coded my purchase internally in the software, and can therefore detect piracy. I won't be supporting FeelThere in the future. Buyer, be sure, and beware of this package before you part with your $$. And yes, I understand many enjoy the product.Back to the SkyDecks Panel Design/POSKY CRJ, which is awesome, albeit simple . . . and $14.95 to boot. BTW, Keven Sparkuhl, their programmer, advised me they are *considering* adding TCAS functionality to their product. I hope he does.Good luck y'all :()Noel

Are you seriously comparing the Eaglesoft products with the PIC ERJ?ricardo

No ricardo, I am not seriously comparing PIC to Eagle. I only mentioned the other addons, as you will note between your chuckles, with re to performance on my PC.I just find the handling to be heavier than what I would expect, and this is based on my sim exp with PMDG products, and my POSKY CRJ, that's all. My point is, to me, it's not as nice as I had hoped, and the delayed gauge loading does not happen with the other better products I mentioned. Were I given the op, I would take a partial refund, or sell it at half price. Unfortunately, FeelThere doesn't care to offer this. Just a warning to others who have reservations about this add on. JMO, but that belongs in the bunch so those on the fence have a balanced view of the full gamut of reactions to this addon. I very much love the other add on aircraft noted. Just not this one, for the reasons stated, esp the weak VC, poor gauge loading when changing views, and uninspiring to annoying sound. Cheers

Rather then guessing why don't you ask KevinAu who posts here and who flies real ERJ-145 for Continental Express. There is a chance he already has this product - he was also instrumental in developing Grabowski's ERJ-145 free panel.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2

I do like the ERJ, but after snatching up their CRJ200 some time ago upon initial (first day) release I said to myself-"never buy from this company again". I still just can't understand (believe) how a payware aircraft could be released with wing lights that were mis-aligned (fixed in patch), and a model that has holes in it so that you can feel that the aircraft is not pressurized because the wing is not properly attached. Perhaps the aircrafts shortcomings have something to do with how bad the FPS are with this one. I will say that I am still happy with my latest purchase; PNW megascenery vol. 4. The more payware one buys, the smarter one becomes about what to buy next and from whom. I guess it's like educated gambling, and I use the forums alot to help me decide on purchases. Now only if I can prevent myself from buying products the first day they're released will this strategy work.Matt

I'll actually have to agree with you on this one. I waited a while before I bought it and actually deleted off my system after a week. I had read a lot of positive things about it but I wasn't impressed with it at all.
