FO answers "OKAY"

Featured Replies

Why every time I'm going through the checklist, the FO either doesn't answer the first time, I have to repeat myself twice, and sometimes it answers for me what I'm suppose to response in the checklist which is in blue, or if he doesn't understand me for some reason he says, OKAY!

It's kind of annoying at times, and it all began more so when I used the last update. Any ideas, suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks...

Just wanted to give further information. I went ahead and re-trained by computer to learn my voice and commands. All my programs work just fine on voice command. Even the flight attendant  answers me when I give the "yes" and "thank you" response just fine. It's only the FO I'm having problems with. So the issue is isolated to the FO. Any ideas?

Yes Bryan, I used the expected response. As a matter of fact I've been using FS2Crew for the J41 for several years now. I even put a video out flying from JFK which one you guys at FS2Crew pointed out as a nice video. I took it down last year because I closed that YouTube account, but it was up there.  I can almost go through an entire flight without looking at the manual. I still say it has something to do with the FS2Crew Add-on itself. I might just uninstall it and re-install it again to see if that solves the issue. I also have the PMDG 747 and Level-D 767 version too, and none of those two is giving me any problem.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Bryan, and I don't understand why because it wasn't happening before. Great product, so I can only thing that a file got corrupted some how. I'll try to uninstall it, and re-install a new wrapper, and see if that does the trick.

The code didn't change...  to speculate, check your microphone and its settings and triple check the voice training.

If it worked fine before, it should work fine again, unless something changed.  But the code doesn't change.  It's not like car part... it doesn't wear out.

But try a re-install anyway; that often clears weird gremlins.

Microphone - checked

Voice Training - tripled check

After doing both things above, still had the problem. I downloaded the addon again from your FS2Crew website, removed all trace of old setup, and reinstalled. It's working again, but the FO is still responding at times with "OKAY!" when it's not suppose to. One note, this time I did not install the version 2 update, and it seems to be holding fine. It all started to go nuts when I added the version 2 update. Don't know why, it just did.

I haven't had any other reports of this from Version 2 users, but I'll check it out.

Cheers,
