February 11, 200521 yr Hi AllI want to change the pitch in A330-200, because when for instance landing with very low fuel, I need to fly appr.d 180 kts. to keep a proper pitch. Is it possible in the aircraft.cfg file to change the pitch-angle to lower the nose in flight? Thanks in advanceRegardsHenrik KoingBGGH
February 11, 200521 yr Are you using the correct flap settings along with airspeed for your landing weight? That will change with PAX/cargo load and fuel load. The POM probably available on their site should give you a table of airspeed and flap deflection for each gross weight range.
February 11, 200521 yr <<< Is it possible in the aircraft.cfg file to change the pitch-angle to lower the nose in flight?>>>I hear ya!I have always suffered that problem with Posky planes - except their 757 which flies at a normal cruise-attitude.In case you havent - make sure you have the latest FDEs for your A330. The link is somewhere on their forum (I've forgotten where exactly). It was an updated FDE which cured my 757's rocket-attitude :)
February 11, 200521 yr Hi RonzieYes - full flaps.I (think) I have seen a message somewhere mentioning, that in some area af the aircraft.cfg you can change a value to change the pitch.I have just downloaded the aircraft SDK on the Microsoft page. I will look into it ib the week-end.Do you know what the"inlet_area"does?Thanks anywayRegardsHenrik
February 11, 200521 yr fyi,the updated FDE is here:http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=47352Airbus A330 v2 FDE Update - Version 2004.8.3 - Compatible and tested for FS2004 OnlytataJP.
February 11, 200521 yr Also, remember on final approach A330's usually fly at about a 4degree nose up pitch :)
February 11, 200521 yr Hi Henrik, cruise_lift_scalar in the flight tuning section will change the pitch attitude but I forget which direction it goes for the desired effect. If it is set at 1.0 now, try a setting of 0.5 and then 2.0 to see which way you want it to go. In the flaps.X settings pitch_scalar should alter the pitch when flaps are used. These setting would be best left alone until the main pitch setting as above is right. inlet_area is supposed to be the area in square feet of the intake of one engine. If you decrease the value the engine becomes more powerful and increasing the value gives less power.
