AI Traffic wont show up

Featured Replies

I'm forever being left in the dark about this particular AI Flightplan file by AIG of Omni Air International previous version and up to date version of 2013-14.

I've done everything routine countless times when it comes to this traffic pack, again so many countless times that there's nothing that can be done, only one airplane will show up out of the AI Flightplan at the destinations for that scheduled airplane type, and that is the AI Malcontent 767-200.

I don't need to post anything, although i can, but i've installed everything accordingly, that what could possibly be done???.........

I've even edited the aircraft speeds to no avail!!!  I also forever tried to replace multiple aircraft for the Lufthansa Cargo, substituting 1 or two MD-11's for the new addition 777's and then no airplanes show up.  So could anyone help me perhaps???

 Thank You so much!

This section of the plan for  AC#100 (777) is odd.  Arrives at EINN on day 3 at 07:17 and departs EINN same day at 07:25.  It is my understanding that FS9 will not process correctly a plan where the "time on the ground is less than 45 minutes. Whether that will ruin the whole plan or just that leg I am not sure. Change the departure time and see if that helps.

Let me try this!!!!!! i will get back to you ASAP!!!! Thanks for offering your advice and with your excellent keen eye for catching error!!!!!!!

Unfortunately it didn't work as i stayed at EINN and did not see any omni's lol.

I'm Greatful for your help!!!!!!

For monitoring if you have the fs9 SDK installed you can use traffic explorer.

An similar app you can use is install FSUIPC3 (you will not need to have a paid registration) getting it from:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/

downloaded the full and interim versions as needed. Then get Traffic Look (free) from:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/

and install that into a convenient folder.

Traffic Look is an .exe you run after you get a flight loaded into FS. It shows a table of your aircraft status and all ai around. The data shows ai within range and what runways they use, phase of flight, etc. If you park your aircraft where you expect your Omni Air to arrive or take-off you will see it in the table by aircraft call sign and flight number and what it is doing. It will show if it is parked. Traffic Look runs its grid like windows as a separate program and you can alt-tab between that and FS9 or window FS9 and shrink it. You can switch Traffic Look into ground or moving aircraft mode.

There is also a freeware ai compiler/decompiler (based on traffic tools, included), that you can load your traffic.bgl file into, let it grind away, and then have it shoe a timetable. It will highlight any errors such as a missing ai model. It is AI Flight Planner for FS9 and FSX, version 2 or better.

You can get this FS9/FSX planner (actually a manager as well) as aifp2121.zip in the FSX Utilities library here. It takes a while to grind away through your scenery bu then you can generate a timetable for the aircraft or airport as available in the .bgl. It is used by some of the ai plan contributing teams for creating and proofing their plans.

I would also advise downloading ACA2005 v1.6 from the library and search for errors. It may be that you have a problem with fltsim.x numbering or texture folder assignment.

Remember also that the aircraft description in the aircraft.txt file must exactly equal the name in the aircraft.cfg :

........ AC#100,485,"Boeing 777-200(ER) Omni Air"

........[fltsim.40]
        title=Boeing 777-200(ER) Omni Air

Also, when you add the ai aircraft for a new airline, how are you checking that you have added it correctly? I use the freware version of Abacus FSRepaint to view any new aircraft/textures I add.

Omgsh, these are all outstanding recommendations!!!!!!!

I only DL'd ACA and TrafficLook and as that is all i could put to good use.

Still none the-less all of these programs can not allocate or fix this problem, because if i did something wrong i would have commited that mistake so many times, on other ai flightplans and they (other ai flightplans) are all in perfect working condition.

It's almost as if this one ai flightplan is or was doomed, or something, because i have done everything correct.

I'll always wonder why i can't get it.

while we are on this, why is it on the Lufthansa cargo, i swapped the typical md-11f's for the new 777's and they don't show up or nothing??, they have plenty of airspeed im sure, but it's almost as if these flight plans have strict rules or something, like they only have certain aircraft they can accept, something to that nature??

I am so greatly pleased for all this help, i can't stress it too you enough without looking fake, but yes a big Thank You too pschlute and ronzie for lending their helping hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you may have a problem with your 777 ?  Can you post on here the [fltsim.x] entries from the aircraft.cfg file.  And also a link to the Lufthansa cargo flightplans you are using

Also are you checking for departures of the "no show" flights or arrivals ?

Lastly what are you using to create the traffic files?

It's 23 fltsim entry

Here's the zip file found on here aig_lufthansacargo_summer_2013.zip

All i did was change the name of one of the md-11's name in the aircraft.txt to "Lufthansa Cargo Boeing 777LRF 'Michael Otto'" and added that to the DL'd lufthansa cargo 777 for TFS fltsim entry.

Yes i am checking when its suppose to arrive and depart.

Then i just compile using TTools.

You are doing everything correctly.

Only thing i notice is fltsim.10 has no entry for title=.   Will that cause the following entries not to show?  I dont know. Can you see the other ai a/c from 11 onwards ?

Only other thing is the use of the qutation marks within quotation marks.... ".....'Michael Otto'"   Again I have no idea if this would affect.

I think you have already done this but I always use speeds for jets in the aircraft.txt file of 200 if I use flightplans with the @ symbol (using TTools). If there is a problem with the flight time, using the realistic speeds can prevent an a/c arriving on time, though wont affect a departure.

You obviously know what you are doing so I assume you have looked in the sim an hour either side of the scheduled departure times to allow for the FS9 time bug ?

Hey ya know, You just solved the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never would have thought that ya know, some fltsim entry TITLES missing, (being as i just took away their Traffic bgl,no longer needed/decommisioned lol:)) that it would some way inadvertently disrupt the flow OR new additions to the aircraft.cfg, BUT it MUST have, because now i have the Lufthansa cargo 777 flying, and i just caught first sight of my omni 777 in Shannon,Ireland in which i've never seen the likes of both of them at anytime. So.... You solved the case!!!!!!!!!! Possibly let it be now known maybe that if you neglect your fltsim entries it can or possibly will disrupt the flow. So man am i so happy because i never would have given that the time of day, since i have every other thing flying. OMGSH am i so happy thanks to you for sticking by and your input on the matter.

Let me say im sorry i didn't get back to you in time, i had to leave to go eat breakfast, but now that im back and applied your method, it now works, lol.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and to everyone else who tried to help me, im so greatful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you got it working.

ps. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day !

FYI:

The flightsim section numbers must start with 0 and be consecutive. A missing number or out of order could mess up loading the models in the entire file.
