missing callsigns, ultimate traffic 2

Featured Replies

I searched the avsim postings on this topic, but most of it related to RC issues. My issue is more specific to Ultimate Traffic 2 aircraft CFG.

I have many airlines in UT2 which are not called by the default ATC.

An example is Jetblue. It is simply called "120"  aka the flight number.

I know that by going into the UT2 aircraft cfg file, I can change ATC Name to read JET BLUE instead of JetBlue, and that solves that aspect.

What I am looking for is a list of other airlines and cargo lines, where this issue also occurs and what is the ATC Name that I should use.

(I also read suggestions to use EVP, but I couldn't get that to change UT2 callsign issues)

Thanks for your help.

Default FSX is not going to be able to call probably most of the UT aircraft properly no matter what you change in the aircraft.cfg file. You need to use EVP to add the possible callsigns and then go from there. I use UT2 and EVP and never have had an issue.

I had the same issue too. Like JIm said, just download Editvoicepack X and when you run it select updatevoicepack and your all done. it even adds other things too

Have you checked the Airlines listed in FSX/Airlines.CFG file for the airlines of interest. You will note for example that the Airline you mentioned is literally JET BLUE hence the reason that it worked when you changed it. From memory I think that if you install a new airline name up with EVP it should be added to the Airlines.CFG file.

Alas, I have EVP installed, but that did not resolve the "jetblue" issue until I changed the aircraft.cfg in ut2 to read "Jet blue".  Am I missing something in EVP?

thanks

According to EVP it must read Jet Blue.

Sorry to drag this on, but is there a list somewhere of other airline call sign "errors" in UT2.?

Rob Marton

You would need to compare every UT2 aircraft.cfg ATC Name entry to the EVP database.

ok will do

How about making a list here then? I'm quite interested in this as well so I might look for missing callsigns if I get some time
