May 5, 201412 yr Dear Sirs I am writing to you as Operations Director of a VA. As a P3D user, I don't have the PMDG 777, although I will certainly do so as soon as it is available on the P3D platform. One of my pilots has come to me with an interesting question, and I thought I would put it to your good selves. Regarding the passenger configuration (Per aircraft.cfg) of this aircraft. You show :// Weight && Balance Manual 2/3 Classstation_load.0 = 1950.0, 49.77, 0.0, 4.9station_name.0 = "First Class"station_load.1 = 6435.0, -0.32, 0.0, 4.9station_name.1 = "Business Class"station_load.2 = 22815.0, -50.8, 0.0, 4.9station_name.2 = "Economy Class" Now these weights equate to a maximum, using a conservative 150lbs per passenger, of 13/43/152. The airline we simulate offers a seat configuration of 35/34/249 As you can see, there is quite some difference here. Is there a simple explanation for this that I may have missed? Many thanks Steve Marks
May 5, 201412 yr Ehm, those aren't maximum values, those are just "preselected" values. Also PMDG products are not loaded via FS standart methods, so I don't even know how much is this actually valid --Peter Fabian
May 5, 201412 yr Author That's fine. As I said, I don't have the aircraft, so I'm just passing on what I was told by our pilot (His English isn't great so that's why I'm posting for him). What is the maximum in the (I assume) Configuration tool?
May 5, 201412 yr It's in-sim in the CDU itself. I don't know what configs PMDG uses, but you can get to MZFW without any problem. --Peter Fabian
May 5, 201412 yr Check out this post showing how much each passenger weighs. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/420027-pmdg-boeing-777200lr-weights/
May 5, 201412 yr Yeah, you should use 200lbs as a standard weight. Those 200lbs include luggage weight as well by the way. Jaime Beneyto My real life aviation and flight simulation videos [English and Spanish] System: i9 9900k OC 5.0 GHz | RTX 2080 Super | 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Asus Z390-F
