Runtime error 76

Run-time error 76 is "Path not found". Check the path to the folder containing your Flight Simulator X files and also that containing fsx.exe.

And yes, 3845 is the latest build.

When do you get the error?

While not quite the same as error 76 if you have gone to Win 7 try this:

Create a shortcut to rcv4.exe. Right click on the shortcut and click properties. Click on run as admin. Click on Advanced. In the new dialog click there on Run As Admin as well to check-enable it. That is different then the one in the first dialog. Click OK to return to the first dialog. Click Apply to save your changes. Click OK to close it.

Then as Ray suggested recheck your paths in RC. Be sure in path browsing you always OK and never cancel out of those, even if it is the same. This can corrupt the RC keyboard and rcv3 .dat files resulting in error 62.
