May 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member Has anyone had this problem where you press IAS and it turns off the autopilot? You sure it's not just turning off ALT HOLD? IAS is a climb/descent mode, not autothrottle as some would think. Additionally, it's required that you sign your posts with first and last name here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/245586-you-must-sign-your-full-real-name-to-posts-to-use-this-forum-posts-without-names-will-be-deleted/ Kyle Rodgers
May 13, 201412 yr When you select IAS, it will hold a particular Airspeed. If you push the thrust levers up, the aircraft will start to climb in an effort to maintain that speed. If you pull the thrust levers down toward idle, the aircraft will descend to maintain that speed. May 13, 201412 yr Author Hi guys, Thanks for the input. However, I have flown this plane everyday (almost! Lol) for the last 5 years. This is a technical problem. I might raise a ticket with PMDG and report back. Thanks all
