For those who have Rex 4 and ASN, when you load them on your system then set the settings how you like do you have to click on the icons to start them each time or will they load automatic?

ASN will be your default weather program when started before or after starting P3D or FSX. Once configured, it will remain the same every time you start it up. If you change geographical locations, it will see that and provide the weather for that location too.

You need to have ASN running along with FSX or P3D in order to have it inject the weather,

So yes you need to click the icon and run it. it will show "Sim Connected" in green at the bottom of its main screen once it detects your sim running

 

REX 4 does not need to be running, basically you choose your textures, send them to the Sim and close REX 4, those are the textures you will see until you choose to run the program again and make a  different choice.
