Looking for Navigraph cd1

Hi there,

I've re-installed Radar contact after clean fsx install but now get a message when starting RC up

' Please wait while Windows configures Navigraph Charts 4'

It then asks me to insert the Navigraph Charts 4 disk.

I click cancel and get an error 1706, I click ok and RC starts up without a problem and it works fine but I am baffled as to why it starts up like that.

Anybody had this problem?

Do I need to re-install RC again?

There is no Navigraph Charts 4 disk.  There is corruption in the setup part of your registry - the 1706 is a setup error.  I suggest you re-install; if using Win7 make sure UAC is off and install from the right click menu "run as administrator".  I  doubt if the errors actually have anything to do with RC, but they reflect an existing setup issue in your system.  If you are running Win8 then take the same actions as you would take for Win7,

Be sure to remove RC4 with the add-remove program applet first. If error ignore. Install RC in the same place (disk id) as before and you can use your current key. If you move it to a different physical reformatted drive or just a different drive letter you will need a new key. If you have not changed your user name or e-mail address since you ordered/registered you can use the auto-registration via e-mail system.

However, RC does not use the registry for itself. Have you checked the properties of the shortcut to rcv4.exe for the correct folder path and file name and correct target folder and start-in setting?

Go to the rcv4 or rcv4x folder and right click on rcv4.exe selecting run as admin. Does it start OK from there?

If not, try the reinstall.
