Hi All,

 

I have been running all my network addons on a spare dual core Dell laptop running Windows 7 with MacAfee package from Bell Canada

 

I decided to setup Bootcamp on my i5 iMac as it is much newer and more powerful. The only difference is that I thought I would give windows 8.1 a go. Initially everything looked great and I have ASN, EFB & PFPX installed and running. Did a couple of flights with no issues. The next day I started to get the "Cannot control ambient weather" error then ASN would close.

 

After some messing about I think the issue seems to be MacAfee. I tried a flight from CYYZ to CYVR the same day I had been having issues, this time with the firewall off and didn't get any crashes. I checked and ASN is added as a rule in the firewall settings. I couldn't find anything else

 

The weird thing is I had the exact same setup on my laptop except I ran Win 7 without issues.

 

I'd appreciate any help as it is a bit of a pain turning off the firewall every time I want to have time on FSX

I have the same issues with McAfee.
