How much time expecting to wait in line to take off?

Featured Replies

I've only had one experience in attempting to fly on my own, that wound up me going back home instead, so I was wondering, my next attempt will take me from JFK to Heathrow, and I was curious about both airports how long I should expect to be sitting in line to take off, or taxi?

In 2007, I flew from JFK-LAX on DL 752, and we were on the ground for about 90 minutes waiting to take off.  Once we got to the front there was a minor medical emergency with a passenger who blacked out or something, so we turned around, sat for another 20 minutes, rejoined the queue and off we went!

First and only 757 flight.

When Heathrow is busy expect 15-20 minutes to taxi, queue and take-off.

In the sim it depends how much AI you have activated. But expect 5-10 minutes taciing depending on what terminal you leave from.
