June 11, 201411 yr Heading on my yacht, down the river..and then out onto the Bay for a day and evening of cruising... I don't know what the chef has in plan for my dinner guests...oh well. let her surprise us... Scenery is fantastic, either from the air...or looking off the lounge deck of the Sirocco GTX2. Huckleberry Finn....eat your heart out.... Captain Mitch....
June 11, 201411 yr Author No screenshots??? Too busy, negotiating the river....OMG!....is this sim gorgeous. I have towering mountains on either side of the river....as I negotiate the bends...and because the textures are so razor sharp..you almost want to reach out and touch the granite outcroppings off the mountain sides. H.S....is this fabulous... I can hear my guests down on the lounge deck...so enjoying themselves..and pointing out to each other the views from the turns in the river. I am about, I'd say...10 minutes to the Bay...and then will hit the fjords for an eventual twilight anchoring in one of the coves...for dinner served in the dinning room cabin--- (oh..the chef called up to the fly-bridge)...and said that it is Beef Tenderloin, with garlic/Parmesan Asparagus tips, done in a white wine sauce. The Steward is now serving my guests, glasses of Twisted Zins Cabernet. Ah...ChaoticBeauty....life is good out here on the Squamish River...life is lazy, relaxed, and oh, so, GOOD! I think I need to hire a Captain...for they are sounding like there is WAY too much fun down on that deck below me..... Captain Mitch

June 12, 201411 yr Author which is why in real life I life in this area. If you think the sim looks good you should see it in real life. Funny that you mention that 1st... I own a Honda Gold-wing...and my wife and I take one major motorcycle tour each year. I have already searched out real life data (Google) on this area...and with my wife looking over my shoulder, the both of us have decided we are going to do the trip out to not only this part of B.C...but Hell's Kitchen, etc...on the Fraser River. What we have going for us...is that I bike out to the general area of the Tour...and my Honey Bun takes a plane ride to the major airport. She comes off the plane with her Gold-wing luggage (it fits the side bags perfectly)...puts it in the bike, puts on her helmet, puts on her tour jacket..and away we go. After the tour...I take her back to the airport, she flys home...and I enjoy a really great trans-continental sojourn listening to Satellite Radio It works out really well for the both of us. She is not an Iron Butt, and can only take in 350-500 or so miles per day. Even with that...she is above average in Wife-miles-per-day quota. I can't complain....nope. I told one guy at work about our little 'you ride out there/I fly out there' deal...and he is kicking himself..that he never thought of that solution, so he and his wife didn't take too many bike trips together when they were younger. She is the same as my wife......doesn't want to be on a bike crossing states, or the continent. He said he owes me a distillery, let alone a bottle for offering him that suggestion. He pitched it to his wife..and lo and behold..they are now planning a trip out to Bangor, Maine from Michigan. Good deal! She flys, he rides, they tour..... Cheers!
