Which Version?

Featured Replies

I hope this is okay to post here since it's not a EULA question.  My question is what license version should I be looking at, what do you use?  I'm really interested in giving it a try in addition or instead of my FSX.  Thoughts?

My thoughts - what there are of them and as much as they're worth - is that the only possible answer is which one do you personally qualify for? Only you know the answer to that question.

The only question that can be answered here is 'what do you use'. I use the pro license because that's what I qualified for IMHO (!). The other question, 'what license version should I be looking at' can only be answered by yourself: everyone seems to have their own interpretation of the LM licences and, oddly enough, LM doesn't seem to mind how you interprete the license... So read the information and make up your own mind: no one can answer this question for you.

My question is what license version should I be looking at, what do you use?

I use Academic.

The flightsim specialist (not a lawyer) Mathijs Kok from Aerosoft explains the difference:

As an example - pay attention to the following:

Accu-sim C172-Trainer P3D Academic     = $49.99
Accu-sim C172-Trainer P3D Professional = $79.99

"Costs for licensing of PMDG P3D based products will vary based upon the license model chosen and the desired use."
