Apart from the ED DCS offerings, are their any Chinooks or Mil Hinds available?

Not as far as I know unfortunately. A hind is really needed for this simulator, highly wanted.

Belsimtek has officialy announced a Sabre release and after that an AH-1(G?) Cobra. Unofficialy they've said that the Hind will come after those titles.

Mi-24 is 2 crew helicopter, so it requires additional amount of coding to make it playable for both stations, and decent AI to support station not used by player. Something that no one dares to do in DCS community so far which is sad because we ###### great aircraft like F-15E, F-14, Su-34, Apache and so on.

but belsimtek is making an ah-1 afaik.

i really wonder how it is going to be like.

i have been playing two seat choppers like apache, cobra, hind at arma series. it is not like a flight sim and it is impossible to play as gunner with an ai pilot.

as a conclusion, dcs and 3rd party developers should focus single seat aircrafts like f-16, f-18
