What settings would I need to tweak in the CFO file to allow the Coolsky MD80 (fs9) to capture and track the LOC better ?

If we're talking about the aircraft.cfg file... actually there are values that affect how well the autopilot tracks a localizer.

 

nav_proportional_control - Proportional controller constant in lateral navigation modes.

nav_integrator_control - Integral controller constant in lateral navigation modes.

nav_deriviative_control - Derivative controller constant in lateral navigation modes.

 

nav_integrator_boundary - The boundary, or maximum signal error, in degrees in which the integrator function is active.

nav_derivative_boundary - The boundary, or maximum signal error in degrees in which the derivative function is active.

 

If you want to know what to set those values to... good luck! :smile:

You could start with the values given in the SDK and then change them by trial-and-error - assuming you know what they should be.
