Ummm, that's not the ground power cart. That is the air start unit which is used when the apu in not functioning. It is put in place when the stairs or bridge is off. So its not actually in the way. I know because I work around these planes :P

That is the Ground Air Start unit. You don't need that unit plugged unless you require it due to APU issues. This is actually placed according to Boeing procedures, that's not by chance. If this unit is used 1L Door cannot be used by airstairs.

 

This is not an error. What you want is the GPU to operate the plane on the ground (the one on the right) and that's correctly placed.

The single plug GPU needs to be moved a little bit because it interferes with the AES marshaller.
This was also the case in the RTM/200LR, but I was hoping it would be fixed in SP1...

There are way too many programs out there, simulating inexact procedures for ramp operations to ask them to make it work with all of them...
