July 20, 201411 yr Commercial Member Two questions, I have changed a lot of settings in the panel edit within the operations centre and the values have not changed within FSX, I wondered if this is linked to another long-term reccurent issue where Trans Altitude is always 18000 no matter what you set the default one too (in the PMDG options within FMC.) #2 All the cost index values for the 777-300er are 85, even though there is a 'notepad' icon next to liveries (Which I think means that the panels are the same as the real world?) Thanks again guys, really enjoying post SP1's potential -- EDIT#1 Avsim wanted to post this thread 3 times, joy. Let this be the correct thread for replies. Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! July 20, 201411 yr I can't tell for sure but maybe for the file not saved you might try to run as an admin to see if it helps, might be some permissions on the file, sometimtes running as admin helps. For the cost index I would say it is because even within airline you might have changing cost index, maybe if the fuel cost rise you reduce it so you are more conservative on fuel and vice versa. I think there is not a single unique value always use by a company. And from what I understand the notepad icon means there is the correct equipements as in the real aircraft of that company, but cost index is not one. Aurelien Vandoorine
July 21, 201411 yr Commercial Member I have changed a lot of settings in the panel edit within the operations centre and the values have not changed within FSX, I wondered if this is linked to another long-term reccurent issue where Trans Altitude is always 18000 no matter what you set the default one too (in the PMDG options within FMC.) Saved panel states trump the default selections. If re-save the panel state with your preferred trans alt. #2 All the cost index values for the 777-300er are 85, even though there is a 'notepad' icon next to liveries (Which I think means that the panels are the same as the real world?) All of the cost index vals are 85 because that the default setting in the options panel. You can change this on your own in the settings. The Notepad icon is only notional in regards to CI because CI would come from a dispatcher and not the plane. Additionally, CI usually changes day to day. It was just a way to add a neat new feature until a dispatch to aircraft solution comes about. Kyle Rodgers
