Installed Liveries Not Visible after SP1 - All my PMDG Aircraft

Featured Replies

Hello to all:

I have installed a number of liveries for the B777 (all versions), B737NGX (all versions) and JS41, after the recent SP1.

I did not have to delete any old liveries, as I have received a new PC only last week, therefore everything was a new install.

I downloaded the liveries via the downloader.

All liveries texture folders are visible in the respective PMDG aircraft folders and the respective "aircraft.cfg" files, show the appropriate "[flightsim.xx]" sections for the selected liveries, which indicates to me that the Operating Centre installed them correctly.

Unfortunately, the downloaded/installed liveries (except the PMDG house original) are not seen in the aircraft selection menus (I have selected "all" in all tabs of that menu).

Anybody else has this issue?

Just installed SP1 and the update to the OPC, and have the same thing. Zero liveries installed for both the ngx and the 777.  Aircraft and liveries work great though

Hi, Roberto,

Only thing I can think of is to check whether the [fltsim.XX] headers are numbered correctly (0, 1, 2 etc.) -- maybe they were misnumbered somehow.

Hi Mike and Dave:

Mike, yes (I rechecked it just in case). The numbering is correct. I attach below, the listing of the three textures of the 777-200F cfg file as installed by the OC..

Dave, the aircraft with the default PMDG textures also work great in my new computer.

Thanks for the quick responses

Roberto

I'm having the same problem. Everything looks like it installed correctly in the aircraft folder. I can use the PMDG livery but the added liveries don't show up as a selection, only the PMDG livery shows.

Hi, Roberto,

I just installed one of the liveries you have, the Fedex one.  I used the OC installer.  It installed fine.  The entry in aircraft.cfg is identical with yours except for the fltsim #.  So maybe your problem has to do with not installing SP1 or something else using Run As Administrator.  Is your FSX installed in C:\Program Files (or Program Files x86) or somewhere else?

Otherwise I'm stumped.

Thanks Mike.

It is small comfort, but I see that Steve and Dave have a similar issue.

Misery loves company.

I think that I will send it as a ticket, to make sure the PMDG folks are aware.

Roberto

PS: Although I am sure they monitor this and know already  :-)

There's an option in the FSX aircraft selection screen to show all variations or something along those lines. Is that option checked? Otherwise only the default or base for each model will show instead of all liveries.

Matthew Bellette

Thanks Mathew that cleared it up for me. Had recently reinstalled FSX and forgot about that.  Again thanks!

I had this issue with the RTM version but only the freighter aircraft. It was fixed only via a reinstall, PMDG support didn't know what had happened.
