You are correct, perhaps I should have phrased it better, sorry. It is not a fault or bug of the taxi cam per se, it just exacerbates the VAS situation due to FSX issue you mention and I think it is an important item to keep in mind since the odds of getting an OOM by using the taxi cam increase importantly, specially if using it to park the aircraft after a flight.

Definitely - came into a dark and stormy WMKK during the beta process.  Fired up the cameras and immediately got the VAS ding from FSUIPC letting me know to take it easy...

I've had so many problems with VAS (with all kinds of aircraft, mind you - resolved most of them by turning down my autogen*), that the default Windows *ding* that is also the default Outlook "new mail" notification sends shivers down my spine...

*TURN DOWN FOR WHAT?!?!?

VAS...turn down for VAS, apparently...

Happy to hear PMDG staff is actually working on SP1b and SP1c. Hopefully we will have a stable product in the following days. In the meantime, I'm flying an Airbus !!!
